here’s something I’ve been thinking about lately.
it’s that people are like diamonds and before you roll your eyes at how impossibly cheesy that sounds, I know, I know, I would’ve too.
but hear me out.
a cut diamond has a ton of facets. facets are the edges on a diamond and there’s a bunch of different kinds and they all have a different purpose. I guess the standard is 58 facets but other cuts can have less or more.
facets are the window to the diamond, a way to see inside that specific portion of the diamond.
and this is what I mean, this is what I’ve been thinking about:
every single one of us are like those infinite math combinations, the kind where you can make thousands of different combinations based on just a few factors. and everyone sees a different little window, everyone we meet pulls out a different side. and it doesn’t mean you’re being fake with someone, if they know one of your facets and someone else knows another.
and some people are fortunate enough to see many of our sharp edges shine. and some people know just part or we know part and we can still love them fiercely. we have these infinite combinations of knowing, and how lucky we are for this.
